New lino prints

Working from observation today, cut and printed a still life. I am still experimenting with color and form. Using waterbased inks on japanese rice paper.

Took the bike out this morning, ready to use the rest of my energy to finish this painting. Today I am looking to Giorgio de chirrico for influence and guidance.

I have decided to use my blogger as my main website, instead of the Flash site. I couldn't access my site on my tablet, so I am sticking to the basics. I will be updating more often, sticking to a schedule for now, until it becomes more natural.

Here is my murmuration painting in progress, inspired by seeing a true south west Florida tree swallow murmuration ballet take place. I want to take more in progress photos of this painting for documentation and to help from losing details of the under drawing.

ONE Tweleve21 gallery show

Last Friday night twleve21 gallery had a new show opening: ONE, an anniversary show for it's past year's artists. Two mixed media collages of mine were included in the show, Deep Water Horizon I and Deep Water Horizon II.

Inspired by the show, I have decided to move on to a new direction and focus more on painting than collage.

Anniversary Show

I will be showing at gallery Twelve 21 for their one year anniversary show, May 20 2011. So happy to be invited to show with the other artists that have shown over the year. Nearly finished on Deepwater Horizon spill collages, and think I could work on 20 more and still be overwhelmed with inspiration from the rig disaster.
